How Playboy Magazine Empowered Me

A different kind of path to sexual liberation...

I am a very independent and free-spirited person. I always have been.

My mom would often think “what is wrong with my child?” as I’d walk inside the house from whatever outside activity we were doing. You see, I didn’t like wearing clothes. They annoyed me, so when I was 2-3 years old, I took my clothes off whenever we came back into the house. I wanted to be naked and walk outside, but my mom informed me that that wasn’t allowed, and that if I wanted to be naked I had to stay home. So I obliged, because I knew my mother knew what was best for me.

When I was 4, my mom took me to her boyfriend’s house. I was told to take a nap in a different room, but I wasn’t sleepy at all. So I went looking around his room for things to play with.

And so, I came across my mom’s boyfriend’s Playboy magazine.

As I flipped through the pages, I was so happy to find women who liked the same thing I did! They were naked and free and happy! This was me!

So I took my clothes off and took the time to go through each pose that I saw in the magazine. Touching my “kitty cat” (the moniker my mom gave my vulva), pulling my lips apart, and looking at myself in the mirror, making sure that I got each pose correct before moving on to the next. Did I tell you I was a perfectionist?

I was in bliss.

I enjoyed my body - looking at all the parts, bathing in the ecstasy of my naked body. I had the biggest smile on my face as I was so proud to emulate these confident women.

Time flew by and as I heard my mom’s voice, I wrapped up and put the magazine back where I had found it. I put my clothes back on and got back in the bed, pretending to be asleep. After all, I was a good girl, and it was important for me to make sure I had my mom’s trust.

The day I found the Playboy magazine is a day I will never forget. I was proud to be one of those naked girls; happy, free, confident, and powerful. I’m so thankful that I found that magazine and saw people who like being nude, like me. This really empowered me to know that whoever I am, there are people like me, and in these moments, I FELT FREE.
